
Emily Shiel PT, BSc (hons) Physiotherapy
Emily graduated from Keele University in the UK in 1997. She has worked in England and the USA before moving to Australia to work at Albany Regional Hospital in the Child Development Team. She focussed on Physiotherapy for babies, children & children with disabilities. In 2003 Shiel Family Physiotherapy opened and Emily was able to focus on Physiotherapy for pregnancy and postnatal care as well general Physiotherapy. Emily is an active member of the Continence Foundation of Australia and treats bladder and bowel issues for men, women and children. Emily is committed to ongoing professional development and supervises Physiotherapy students from Notre Dame University.


Craig Shiel, BSc (hons) Physiotherapy
Craig graduated from Keele University, Staffordshire, UK, in 1997, after serving as a Physical Training Instructor in the Royal Air Force. Craig worked as Physiotherapist for Nottingham Forest Football Club until 1998 & left the UK to work in the USA in the area of musculoskeletal related conditions. In 2003 Emily and Craig started their own practice ‘Shiel Family Physiotherapy`. Craig has completed all levels of training in Clinical Pilates. His skills are wide ranging, having treated office workers through to professional footballers. Currently Craig's special areas of interest are neck, back, shoulder rehab as well as taking regular Pilates classes.
